Empowering Moms in Business: Recap of Mombizcon Networking Evening at Brazilian Steakhouse Flame and Fire in Folsom
On May 10th, a remarkable networking event took place at the Flame and Fire Brazilian Steakhouse in Folsom, California. Organized by Goesto and powered by Goesto Interiors and Lost Photography, Mombizcon brought together driven moms in business, engaging panel discussions, and exciting opportunities for networking and collaboration.
Mombizcon provided attendees with a safe space to connect and collaborate, in addition to gaining valuable insights and wisdom from incredible speakers who shared their experiences and expertise. The moms at the event brought forth a wealth of knowledge, inspiring everyone present to take their businesses to new heights. There were also delicious traditional appetizers provided by Flame and Fire including tri-trip sliders with chimichurri, bbq pork ribs, grilled veggie and pineapple and chicken skewers and the traditional and loved: brazilian pão de queijo.

As an event dedicated to promoting mom-owned businesses, Mombizcon provided an opportunity for innovative entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services. At this event we had a local bakery bring in some goods for the event , flyers and business cards were exchanged at the door and table.

This first event offered an uplifting environment where meaningful connections were formed, collaborations were sparked, and inspiration flourished. A lot of suggestions and requests were made for the future events and we are here for it.

Living a Soft Life as an Entrepreneur: My Journey from Self-Doubt to Restful Living
As an entrepreneur, I used to believe that living a soft life was an unattainable dream. I was always pushing myself to work harder, thinking that more effort would guarantee success. I was stuck in the cycle of self-doubt and impostor syndrome, throwing myself into work to prove my worth to myself and others. However, it wasn't until I hit a breaking point that I realized that living a life full of rest was possible, and it was essential to my growth as an entrepreneur.
The more I pushed myself, the more drained and unproductive I became. I began to realize that my efforts were counterproductive, and I wasn't doing myself any favors by overworking. So, I decided to change my approach to entrepreneurship by incorporating more rest and self-care into my routine. I made it a priority to achieve a work-life balance and eliminate the guilt that came with taking much-needed breaks.
If you're struggling with self-doubt and impostor syndrome, it's crucial to acknowledge that your worth is not dependent on how much work you can accomplish. You deserve rest, and you don't have to prove yourself to anyone.
Here are some steps that helped me start living a soft life as an entrepreneur:
Take Inventory of Your Time
First and foremost, take an inventory of where your time goes. You might be surprised to find how much time you spend on activities that don't contribute to your goals. Once you have a clear idea of how you're spending your time, you can start eliminating unnecessary tasks and focus on activities that will drive growth in your business.Celebrate Your Accomplishments
It's easy to get caught up in what you haven't achieved. However, take a moment to celebrate your successes, no matter how small. Acknowledging your accomplishments will help you feel more confident in your abilities and boost your motivation to keep moving forward.Practice Self-Care

Having a plan in place will help you stay on track and makes it easier to incorporate rest into your routine. Also, as an ADHD girlie, scheduling FUN time was something that helped me immensely.
